Location: Eikestad Mall Branch

 

Job Purpose:

Manage a Team to deliver client service and support sales growth in the branch whilst adhering to Teller & Foreign processes and procedures to ensure compliance and reduce risk.

 

Key Performance Areas:

Client Service:
Client Feedback; Building Relationships with clients; Networking with various clients; Retention; action Client Service Review feedback.

 

Sales Growth:
Monitor and motivate direct reporting staff ITO contribution to achievement of Branch Sales through: loading and passing on leads; Retention of clients.

 

People Management:
Build Staff capability through: Resource Allocation, Staff Development (Career pathing for staff) & Communication, Performance Management, Coaching, Human Resources (Industrial Relations; Recognition, Recruitment, Employment Equity, Talent Management); Motivation of direct reporting staff.

 

Branch Processes:
Ensure compliance and conformance through: accuracy of documentation, Legislation, risk and safety management (e.g. key register; conformance report), prevention of frauds (monitor fraud trends); Escalation process in terms of systems; Reporting on Human Resources, Training & Sales leads; Housekeeping (clean desk policies etc); respond to daily e-mail communication; Manage end to end Teller Process; Manage Treasury e.g. custodian (check treasury; dual control); Action Teller Reports; Authorisations; Signing off of Teller Audit roll at end of day; ensure teller queries are handled by Banker Fulfilment; ensure teller deposit slips have been faxed; Effective use of Prognis; Effective management of cash limits; FAIS Supervision and Compliance.

 

Learning & Growth:
Training & Development; Deputise for Branch Manager and for other Team Leaders; complete appropriate online assessments.

 

Essential Qualifications:

Matric/NQF Level 5
Grade 11 or appropriate National Certificate or Diploma at NQF Level 3. Minimum of an appropriate NQF level skills programme at Level 4. 12 credits / 30 consisting of core unit standards registered by SAQA and quality assured by INSQA
Grade 11 or appropriate National Certificate or Diploma at NQF Level 3. Minimum of an appropriate NQF level skills programme at Level 4. 12 credits / 30 consisting of core unit standards registered by SAQA and quality assured by INSQA


Grade 12 or appropriate National Certificate or Diploma at NQF Level 4. Minimum of an appropriate NQF level skills programme at Level 2 /4. 12 credits / 30 consisting of core unit standards registered by SAQA and quality assured by BANKSETA ETQA
Grade 12 or appropriate National Certificate or Diploma at NQF Level 4. Minimum of an appropriate NQF level skills programme at Level 4. 21 Credits consisting of core unit standards registered by SAQA and quality assured by INSQA
 

Preferred Qualifications:

Financial Diploma or relevant qualification/NQF Level 4

3-5 Years Branch Experience in a similar Banking Environment
1 year - Short-term insurance personal lines
1 year - Long-term insurance cat B
6 months - Deposits less than 12 months
1 year - Deposits exceeding 12 months
