Key Purpose:

To Manage the ongoing support and maintenance of the Allegro application for the Supply Trading and optimization Group in order to ensure the effective utilization, customer satisfaction and most efficient cost management of the application.

Specific Outcomes: 

- Guide the Business on best practice , business processes as informed by the application
- Manage process documentation as per requirements
- Apply appropriate methodologies in business process management
- Deliver business process management activities within agreed SLAs
- Manage overall resolution of process incidents and problems
- Identify opportunities to improve business processes through technology
- Ensure adherence to IS Service delivery processes
- Manage application SLAs and conformance to SLAs
- Adherence to IS governance and architectures strategies
- Manage the delivery of Solutions utilizing Engen's SDLC processes
- Co -ordinate Solution delivery relating to the application across multiple IS teams and processes
- Conduct business and system analysis to understand, document and communicate 
proposed solutions
- Best fit solutions based on user and IS requirements
- Manage quality and timeous delivery of solutions
- Ensure Application management according to IS governance processes / standards
- Define application strategies with input from Application Development and Facilities and Infrastructure
- Manage vendor relationships / contracts to support the applications 
- Identify areas of improvement and coordinate between IS and vendor to implement
- Optimum application available and technology currency
- Plan upgrades / releases of the application and 
coordinate within IS and with vendor
- Manage incident and problem resolution
- Apply project management methodology (as 
per project office)
- utilize work management templates
- Manage work requests/infrastructure 
- Work planning and scheduling 
- Identify and exploit opportunities for process 
improvement through the application
- Solicit agreement from management to exploit 
existing/new functionality
_ Work with other IS teams to deliver service
- Foster stakeholder relationships internally & 
- Manage successful delivery across multiple IS 
teams and user community
- Manage delivery through other teams and 3rd 
- Achieve milestones in personal development 
- Identify technical development needs within 
- Coach other Application Specialists
- Identify opportunities to improve service 
- Solicit agreement from Specialized Applications Manager to improve service delivery costs
- Discuss and agree SLAs with the business relating to the application
- Manage the business expectation and SLAs

Education & Experience Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science /Information Systems / B.Com IT
- 4 years Specialist SDLC Management
- 4 years Specialist Applications Management

- Business Analysis diploma
