Requirements 
Minimum educational qualification:

Senior Certificate (or equivalent).

Experience:

Extensive experience in the field of Human Resource Management, especially Recruitment and Selection.

Extensive PERSAL experience.

Inherent requirements of the job:

Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s licence.

Willingness to travel to institutions within the District.

Competencies (knowledge/skills):

Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, GroupWise and PERSAL).

Proficiency in at least two of the three official languages of the Western Cape.

Knowledge of other HR fields (Employment Contracts, Appointments, Compensation Management).

Knowledge and skills of Employment Practices (Recruitment and Selection, Promotions and Employment Equity) and ability to provide training.

Duties (key result areas/outputs):

Co-ordinate and effective control of the Recruitment and Selection administration within the District including the drafting of submissions for filling of posts and scrutiny of motivations for procedural and substantive correctness as well as fairness and serving as Human Resource representative during interviews and short-listing meetings.

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of policy documents/circulars within the District as well as provision of training in this regard.

Investigate complaints and grievances and provide assistance and advice in respect of dispute resolution with regards to Recruitment and Selection.

Responsible for the administration and capturing of Personal Credential, Criminal record- and Financial Asset verifications on a database.

Provide support and guidance to the institutional management, line managers and personnel with regard to employment practices.

Effective management and development of sub-ordinates and render a general support service to supervisor and colleagues.

R 227 802 per annum
