Assistant Manager - Convienance

Job Purpose

To assist the store manager to plan, lead and direct the effective management of day to day operations of the store team in order to achieve operational excellence and business objectives as well as to act as store manager in their absence

Job Objectives

  • To assist the SM to ensure maximum profitability of the store by managing key financial indicators (e.g. sales, trading profit, shrinkge, wastage, stock, expenses) aligned to scorecard
  • To assit the store manager to deliver high standards of customer service excellence consistently, through ensuring stirct adherence to the Clicks customer service principles
  • To assist the store manager to ensure effective people management  development and alignment in store in order to build capacity to meet current and future staffing needs
  • To assist the store manager to drive and manage compliance to all in store processes, policies and procedures aligned to the balanced scorecard requirements
  • To be a role model for staff presenting the image and behaviours of management to which the company aspires through its values

Job Requirements

 

Experience and Education:

  • Grade 12 is essential
  • A recognized Retail / Business Management Certificate would be an advantage
  • A minimum of 18 months in management
  • Completed the Trainee Management Programme
